ABOUT ME
Born several decades ago, C. Matthew Bonhamgregory has undergone several metaphoric metamorphoses to become a Ph.D. student at UNT. Matthew's origins began in the industrial city of Pontiac, MI, located in metropolitan Detroit. In 1997, a chance opportunity opened a migration path to the Lone Star State. Since relocating, Matthew has taught multiple grade levels and subjects specializing in curriculum and technology while holding a variety of campus and district-level leadership positions. Additionally, he has taught courses at UNT and worked as a student advisor.
Holding a B.S. in elementary education from Oakland University and an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from the University of Houston, Matthew has experience in education that spans 20 years.
Besides academic work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, mapping hip-hop history, collecting soil from around the country, square numbers, analyzing infrastructure, deadpan humor, wordplay, the direction "north," and photography.
